Brand and identity for Apollo Tyres, India's fastest growing tyre manufacturer. Apollo came to Saffron to modernize their identity with hopes of entering the European market. Since every competitor is male oriented and obsessed with extruded metal graphics, we chose to differentiate Apollo making it an obvious fit for hybrids, the exploding small car market and one of the most neglected customers in this category: women. The identity is built from the circle pattern which is inspired by India and Apollo as 'sun god'. It translates into a product matrix that is used to easily identify product types for the worst case organization scenario (stacks of tyres). Apollo plans to be one of the first manufacturers to print color on sidewalls to identify the brand and model. Since launch, Apollo has secured a relationship with Volkswagen.
